Q.1 When do I pay my premium?

Premiums are paid according to the mode of payment you choose, i.e., Annual, Semi-Annual, Quarterly, or Monthly.  Monthly premiums are paid through post-dated checks, credit card enrollment, or auto debit arrangement with BPI, BDO or Metrobank.

You will receive a billing notice as a reminder for premiums due.  Premiums for Life policies should be paid within 31 days from due date while premiums for Plans policies should be paid within 60 days from due date.

Q.2 What are my payment options?

Premiums can be paid through any of the following channels:

  1. Your Servicing Agent or Financial Sales Associate – when paying through your Servicing Agent or Financial Sales Associate, please demand for a Provisional Receipt.  The Official Receipt will be mailed to you upon receipt of your payment.
  2. Any Manulife Office – please bring your billing notice for ready reference.  If you do not have your billing notice, simply provide your complete name and policy number.
  3. Any branch of BPI, BDO or Metrobank nationwide.  Please always keep a copy of your bank transaction slip for recording and tracking purposes.  Please click here to view our accredited payment facilities.
  4. Issue post-dated checks for your premiums due.  Checks should be dated using the due date of the policy.

Q.3 How do I apply for Auto Debit Arrangement (ADA)?

For BPI and BDO, fill out the ADA Forms and secure the bank officer’s approval. Submit the approved ADA form to Billing & Collection Department.

For Metrobank, only the authorization letter stated above is required.

Q.4 What will happen to my policy if I pay my premium after the grace period?

Payments made beyond the grace period will result to policy lapsation unless the policy has earned sufficient cash values to pay for future premiums and the Premium Loan Option was selected at the time of insurance application.  In such case, the premium due on the policy will be treated as a loan as provided for in the Premium Loan provision.

Premiums paid after the grace period may result in the termination of insurance protection or reduce your insurance coverage.

Q.5 What should I do if I do not receive a billing notice?

If you do not receive a billing notice, you may pay at any Manulife office by simply providing your complete name and policy number (please click here to view our Branch Offices).  You can also ask your Servicing Agent or Financial Sales Associate to provide you with a copy of your billing notice.

Q.6 What should I do if I do not receive an Official Receipt?

Billing & Collection will provide you with a certified true copy of your official receipt upon request.

Q.7 Can I still retrieve a post dated check that I have issued?

Yes, you can pull out your post dated checks provided the request is submitted at least three (3) days before maturity of the check.  You can request your Servicing Agent or Financial Sales Associate to provide you with the PDC Pull Out Form.
