Rahul Hora

President & Chief Executive Officer

Rahul Hora is President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Philippines. 

For Rahul, "Every day better is collaborating with a winning team armed with a strong commitment to offer innovative financial products and solutions that address Filipinos' evolving protection needs."

As President and CEO, Rahul is responsible for the development and execution of Manulife's strategy in the Philippines, supercharging the business so we can continue making every day better for more Filipinos.

Hora is an insurance industry veteran, having taken on various sales and distribution leadership roles in operations, agency, and bancassurance across geographies. He joins Manulife from another multinational insurance company, where he held distribution roles at market and regional levels, and most recently led their life and non-life insurance operations in the Philippines.

Rajeev Kumar 

SVP & Chief Financial Officer

Rajeev Kumar is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Manulife Philippines. 

According to Rajeev, “Every day better is making sure we’re growing at the right pace, so we have the ability and capacity to provide the best service and experience for our customers.”

As Chief Financial Officer, Rajeev is responsible for optimizing the company’s financial performance, including risk management, profitability, capital management and solvency. 

Prior to joining Manulife Philippines, Rajeev was the CFO, Chief Actuary, and CIO of a multinational life insurance company in Vietnam for two and a half years. He also spent 13 years with another global life insurer in Hong Kong and India, where he held finance, product management, actuarial, and strategy roles.

Rajeev is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries UK and India, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi, India. 

Maya Lee 

SVP & Chief Operations Officer

Maya Lee is Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Manulife Philippines.

For Maya, “Every day better is remaining committed to providing superior service and support to our customers, distributors, and employees.”

As Chief Operations Officer, Maya Lee leads initiatives to help improve the company’s operational performance, cost efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations support provided to the company’s customers and distribution partners.

A Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) of the Life Office Management Association or LOMA, an international association engaged in research and educational activities for more than 1,200 insurance and financial services companies in over 80 countries, Maya also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Kookmin University and an MBA from Yonsei University.

Stephen Ong

SVP & Chief Distribution Officer

Stephen Ong is the Senior Vice President and Chief Distribution Officer of Manulife Philippines.

Stephen says, "Every day better is about our advisors giving Manulife customers the best-in-class service, care and attention that they deserve."

He currently leads Manulife Agency, Partnership, and Corporate Solutions, and is responsible for developing and growing these distribution channels.

Stephen has more than two decades of experience in the life insurance industry. He started as an insurance adviser, building an extensive portfolio in sales management. During this time, he was awarded as a consistent Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) qualifier and Agent of the Year for three consecutive years.

Stephen joined Manulife in July 2010 and held various sales executive positions, including as Territory Head, Agency Recruitment Head, Agency Activation Head, and Chief Agency Officer, before assuming his current leadership position.

As the Territory Head of Territory 3 (Metro Manila 3 and Luzon), Stephen’s leadership and capability to meet growth and productivity targets led to his recognition as Manulife Star of Excellence awardee in 2012.  He also won the award for a second time as Chief Agency Officer in 2016. 

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Santo Tomas.

Neil Bowyer

SVP & Chief Partnership Distribution Officer

Neil Bowyer (MBA)  is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife China Bank Life and concurrently Senior Vice President and Chief Partnership Distribution Officer of Manulife Philippines.

For Neil, "Every day better means building strong, meaningful, relationships with our partners to make every day better for their customers".

As well as being the CEO of the joint venture between Manulife Philippines and China Bank Ltd, Neil is also responsible for all Manulife Philippines' distribution partnerships and corporate solutions. 

He has a wealth of experience in leading bancassurance partnerships, multi-channel distribution, and business transformation. Prior to joining another regional insurer in 2018, where he was Director for Group Partnership Distribution, Neil was Chief Bancassurance Officer for Manulife Singapore. There, he was responsible for the overall development of our bancassurance operations in the country, including Strategy, Distribution Operations, Business Development, Sales, and Learning & Development.

Melissa Henson

SVP & Chief Marketing Officer

Melissa Henson is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Manulife Philippines.

For Melissa, "Every day better is all about creating differentiated brand experiences that resonate with customers and innovate with the times."

Since joining Manulife in March 2015, she has overseen a growing portfolio of marketing and customer related functions, which currently include branding, communications, community service, digital marketing & engagement, customer experience & insights, data analytics and sales incentive & recognition activities. During her time with the company, she has also led product management & development, as well as customer-facing operations functions.

Melissa has close to 20 years of experience as a marketing professional, including 12 years in the banking industry. Prior to Manulife, she held various leadership roles with responsibility over strategy, branding, advertising and communications, customer research and insights, digital and innovation. She has worked in both the US and the Philippines.

Melissa holds an MBA degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Cum Laude, from Ateneo De Manila University.

Fritzie Tangkia-Fabricante

SVP & Chief Legal and Compliance Officer

Atty. Fritzie P. Tangkia-Fabricante is the Senior Vice President and Head of Legal and Compliance of Manulife Philippines.

Atty. Fritizie says, “Every day better is fostering a culture of integrity by achieving our goals, while managing risks and assuring compliance.”

As Chief Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer, she advises the company on various legal matters and reasonably ensures its compliance with various regulatory issuances. She also identifies legal and compliance risks and issues relative to the company's intended actions.

Fritzie has been a member of the Philippine bar for nearly 20 years now. Her professional experience includes corporate counseling and commercial practice, including heading the legal services group of a universal bank.

Fritzie completed her law degree at the University of the Philippines and her Political Science degree at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Summa Cum Laude. She placed 9th in the 1999 bar examinations.

Anna Villamor

SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer

Anna is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Manulife Philippines. She joined the company in January 2021.

For Anna, "Every day better is about developing, enabling, and empowering team members to be the best that they can be, so together they thrive in a dynamic and inclusive workplace."

Anna is an experienced HR leader in the finance industry, having joined Manulife from another multinational insurer, where she was the CHRO for five years. Prior to that, she was the head of HR for a large healthcare company and two global banks operating in the Philippines.

Anna has led the organizations she worked with through strategic transformation journeys, supporting their growth and building their skill sets to ensure their workforce are future ready.

Ivan Buenaventura

SVP & Chief Information Officer

Ivan is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Manulife Philippines.

For Ivan, "Every day better is leveraging technology to simplify complex IT solutions and turning them into opportunities to better support customers."

As Chief Information Officer, Ivan oversees the Company’s Enterprise Delivery and Information Systems functions. He is responsible for Manulife Philippines’ strategy to build robust systems and digital capabilities, which are foundational to our customer experience transformation. He is a seasoned information technology leader, having held various IT leadership roles managing IT solutions and transformation across a variety of industries. Ivan has worked in the United States, United Kingdom, and the Philippines. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Santo Tomas. 

Aris Briones 

SVP & Chief Risk Officer 

Aris Briones is Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Manulife Philippines.

Aris says, "Every day better is about ensuring strong effective risk culture, and comprehensive governance structure is in place to help maintain the trust of our stakeholders and protect our customer’s interests."

As Chief Risk Officer, Aris is responsible for overseeing action plans, monitoring risk positions, and acting as a strategic advisor to the Manulife Philippines business, ensuring that the Company mitigates risk from the start. 

Before joining Manulife, Aris was with a global insurance group where he led several roles within risk and internal audit in Asia, most recently as Compliance Head in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he worked at various leading banking and consulting institutions holding various roles in risk and compliance, risk advisory services, and audit.
